Scroll of Atonement
I am at the desk in the Toysellers house. When I try to open the desk, I choose deface the blank parchment. Then I am given six things I can select. I have tried each one of them (Divine, Lucian, Sanders, Darling, Arhu, Password) and I am killed after selecting any of them. The Toyseller is dead and can no longer help me. Any ideas what I should do? Thank you!

Giyora is the password you need to write. I believe there is a quest with Sanders or Arhu that tells you (I've had it memorized for 7-8 playthroughs so I forget where exactly) but it should show up as an option regardless of if you learned it or not the proper way.

Sanders is the Toyseller and he's dead. I know the password Giyora but when I select password, I do not get the option to type it in. I am instantly killed. Any other ideas?

I saved and reloaded a bunch of times when I found that thing, and I'm sure that the proper password does not show up unless you know it.

There shouldn't be any hard locks like that in the game. I don't know exactly where you get the proper password from, but it exists somewhere in the game and that'll be what you need to find.

There is a book or parchment notes of his in house.
You must read it, to "unlock" password extra choice

You should find a letter on his corpse labeled "Unsent Letter to Givora." Once you read it it will give you the option to input the pass code "Givora".

So if you lost that letter without reading it seems like you'll need to pass the trial the old fashion way by recruiting a brand new mercenary to cheese the statue.

Could you elaborate on that? Because I checked his corpse and no note, so somehow I lost it.
Tried talking to his corpse but he would not say a word to me.

What do you mean "cheese the statue"?

If you hire a mercenary on the ship, that mercenary has no past actions recorded that disqualify them from passing the path of blood. They can walk up and claim to be pure and it'll just open for them.
