Can't get crossbow from Zaleskar

So I read many topics on that and I still don't know hot to deal with that - I have entry in my Log that Ifan has to talk to Zaleskar, but he doesn't to do that, killing him doesn't make any difference. There's crossbow without bowstring, but it's not the crossbow I need (I added bowstring to be sure if it's not *the* crossbow). Any idea what else can I do?

Would you by any chance have a main character actively getting into a fight with Zaleskar after a short talk (hi Sebille)? If so, simply engaging dialogue while said character is tucked away further (degroup char, make him take a hike somewhere else) should let Ifan get his small discussion without others interfering. If not, well I honestly don't know.

Do you have the note from Borris in your inventory? I think you need that.

You do need to talk to Borris first in order to get this crossbow. Unfortunately, if you have left Fort Joy all thr guards will be agressive towards your party, so getting information from him might be quite impossible.

I'd recommend reloading to the point when you are still in Fort Joy, let Ifan talk to Borris, get out of Fort Joy, let him talk to Zaleskar to get the crossbow and then watch all your enemies getting absolutely demolished by this ridiculously good weapon.

Yeah, I killed Borris because I didn't have a collar and I play Sebille as my main. Well.

Sebille does not need to talk to Borris, they don't have interactions, if I remember correctly.

Honestly? If you are not too far, I would suggest that it's worth reloading. This crossbow will easily carry your party through the whole Act 1, I joke you not.
