DE Lone wolf cap change
I'm kind of confused by this. How it used to be:

Soft cap (adding points will only let you go this high):
40 for Attributes.
10 for Skills
5 for Civils

Hard caps (Lone Wolf, gear and other bounses can take you this high):
70 for Attributes.
20 for Skills
10 for Civils

I have over 70 in attributes on my lone wolves; does this new cap change mean I can't go over 70? It kind of sounds like I won't be able to go over 40 from what I'm reading.

Same with Skills, I have over 20 in skills on my lone wolves; in the DE am I limited to 20 or 10?

Sounds like you know exactly what it's changing. New LW has the same caps as non LW characters. So you can still get to 10 on a combat ability super fast, but you stop at 10. So now instead of say, 20 warfare, 20 2h, and some change, you go 10 warfare, 10 2h, 10 scoundrel, and a lot of leftover stuff. Using a 2h user as an example at least.

Yes, so I spend 10 points in Warfare, but since I get 2x points spent, it will still go to 20...no?

No. You can only spend 5 points into Warfare, and since you get 2x points it caps at 10. Your advantages are that it caps faster than anyone else can get, and that you have extra points to spread around. That means instead of getting STR up to 70, you can get both STR and WIT up to 40.

Rather than being insanely strong in one category your strength will come from the versatility that your character can now possess. You could do it before, but there was little point when you could just keep stacking points in Warfare etc.

If my example was not clear enough, I think Stabbey's phrasing of "You can only spend 5 points into Warfare, and since you get 2x points it caps at 10" should clear up any and all confusion. So you will no longer be able to hit 20 on a stat without gear bonuses.

Continuing with the goal of avoiding confusion... That should say, "no longer able to hit 20 on a skill without gear bonuses."

Some people may see the word stat and think attributes instead of skills.
