Is there a way to negate enemy magic armor? Also question about traps.
Seems to be what is resisting a lot of my magic, ALSO.. how exactly do I get rid of the poison/fire/electric that is on the ground in some areas? Or do I just have to run through it?

The only way to get rid of armor is to break it with damage of the right kind.

Most of the time the things on the ground will eventually stop by themselves, but there are lots of skills that can remove them as well. The rain skill is very usefull for cleaning. :)

You can also cast bless on surfaces on the ground and they will buff you instead of hurt you when you are in them.

Dont bless surfeces below your undead characters though most of the time it or like all of the time it will heal them so it will totaly dmg them ;)

Battle stomp is the most common early game ability to clear surfaces.

Part of the game is balancing your high damage spells and the ones with statuses you want as well as dealing enough damage to break their armor enough to start applying those statuses. If you burn all your spells too early, then applying status effects can be harder. But removing that armor is harder and takes longer if you don’t. Just have to plan it out to still have abilities when their armor breaks.

i'd recommend going for full physical damage or full magical damage

combining the two is a waste

It's not.

There is a difference between "min-maxed" and "a waste" (or "not viable").

I’d rather not derail the thread on yet another installment of this overly discussed debate, but that is very, very untrue. Mixed parties are top tier when done properly. They’re just harder to pull off while all one damage type is so simple you can’t screw it up.

It is NOT stronger however, nor is mixed weak.

Well i wanted to say if you are having difficulties just go with 1 damage type it's a lot easier

You can clear surfaces with Throw Dust too (Huntsman/Geo combo spell) and at level 4, Spread your wings lets you fly over.

This is something I can actually agree with. It is indeed easier. Though personally I find it more boring, due to the lack of diversity of abilities, but it’s much easier to set up an effective team comp if it is focused on one type.

If you mean completely bypass armor, only piercing damage does that. If you are talking about resistances, there is a skill called Flay Skin that can have magic resistances, though only once you are through their magic armor.
