If you ask Karon to meet up with you, he will be at the crypt where you do the pipe puzzle and find the waypoint. He gets mad that you are a godwoken seeking to become the next divine and attacks you with the same group that he would have used in the sewers. The only real advantage is that you get to fight him at a higher level this time. It is a DE new plot line.
