It doesnt add much dmg, thats the problem, its a wasted talent, plus many enemies bleed their element so you will be healing them, plus your archer can already do insane dmg with elemental arrows and chose wich one to use instead of looking at the ground and pray to have a good element to work with, and still not being able to get noticeable dmg. If you are an elemental archer (im actually playing a wayfarer ifan atm) then you dont use your basic attack anyways, unless you want to waste ap doing something really unoptimal or just for roleplaying purposes. Elemental arrows can be crafted almost for free so its not a problem. Or you can do a full poison full geo elemental archer but you are stuck with 1 element that many enemies are immune to, and you need a full turn to set your dmg right before shoting once, you can allways prebuff and stuff, but that leaves you with just 1 turn of effective action in combat, then you have to rebuff. Elemental arrows are the way to go.
Mages can also deal good physical dmg, just add a few points into necro, you dont even need warfare to do amazing dmg with necro skills and the hybrid skills, both geo and aero add another skill each to do physical.
Rogues also have a few skills to lower magic armor and those hit like a truck.
