I didn't find anything about it on the store page

Optimization, changes to the way things are noted in the journal, different (better?) voice actors, some menu changes, and more quest markers. Alot of it seems to be quality of life changes. I havent played much of it yet but ive been reading a lot about it.

Some people are upset about the changes but not me. I look forward to finishing my playthrough on classic so i can move to definitive.

Ah. I'm afraid to start playing it because I LOVED the first but heard this one took out all the whimsical nature and made it (yet another) grim gritty dark story and that it's designed to force you to miss out on things so you'll play it twice.

Also, I don't see two seperate things for classic and definitive? Am I doing something wrong?

When i hit play from steam it brings up a window that allows me to select definitive or classic.

And to your point yea i get it for sure. I do worry that it will take away a lot of what made it special but at the same time if it makes it a little more accessable then hopefully it will sell more and we can get more quality CRPGS. There were a few times in this game where i just shook my head at what they expected me to know to do. I mean, i know read everything but damn. Also if i dont like it classic is great too.

When you load up the game you pick DE or Classic.
I wouldn't say those accusatons are fair to say. Give it a go and try it. The game is worth it imo.

I just hate that we're never gonna get another whimisical fantasy from Larian again after how well this has sold. I'm so sick of dark and depressing, if I wanted that I'd just go outside.

Oh ♥♥♥♥, what? Damnit, and I loved using a controller. Why would they do that? Is there a mod to put it back in? Should I just play Clasic? Seems pretty unclear what changed anyway.

QoL additions you likely won't notice that much. New difficulty, and revamped 3rd act. Combat balance was reworked on tactician mode. Lone wolf talent nerfed. Minor dialogue changes and voice lines added. Oh and console release with some UI stuff. Basically a big patch.

Most of it is really unnoticeable, but everything does come together to make a better experience, I guess. I mean technically it is enhanced and it does have a new feature or two, but it still feels like the same game which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Have to admit I was expecting a little more, but it's no big deal. It was a free upgrade (like any other patch), so I probably shouldn't have had my expectations so high to begin with.

1. hell if I know
2. atm, no, nobody give a damn on controllers, on console guys who actually suffer right now
3. if you haven't done it before - meh, its very good, but DE fixed lots of story and quests, its up to you (SAVES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE)

I couldn't imagine playing this with a controller. I feel like that'd just kill the Turn based Tactical feel of the game.
