Infinite dodge
Why do the enimes in this edition have an endless dodge? I do not remember this in the normal version of the game.

Because your target has uncanny dodge (or uncanny evasion, whatever the correct name) giving +90% dodge and I guess now it can help a target reach 100% with the target already having 10% prior to having that effect.

Overall evasion has been significantly improved across the board to very poorly "nerf" physical build, it's especially true in Tactician difficulty.

Because they made the entire battle system go away from luck base crowd control effect to make it go back to have luck deciding all physical attacks way more than before. What an idea ... just balancing the spells at the root would have worked too ...

I see that they have a buff. I'm wondering why they are under it CONSTANTLY. What it is? Looks like an error.

Didn't notice the permanent effect. Weird. Maybe related to a quest or whatever to make sure you don't kill the NPC first ? It clearly wasn't there in classic edition though. Strange.

One of the ennemy here has dodge aura, giving them all infinite dodge. Here since old version.

I did not do anything strange, just released the captive lizard and see that the enemies have a buff of infinite dodge. It does not look very fair.

Probably intended, and such enemies with permanent auras were there even in classic edition on Tactician difficulty.

She has virtually no magic armor and can be shut down easily by any reasonably built spellcaster at that level since spells don't care about dodge. Alternatively, Teleport her away and throw oil at her, use Spider Legs from Poly to Web her, or attempt to stun her with Wet+Air damage of some kind. You also have Beast who can petrify with his racial, and all of these reduce or nullify dodge chance.

That enemy was there before as well. Just notice that it has 0 magic armor. Charm it and enjoy the buff :D

Is that in Definitive Edition? I don't recall the NPC there having a dodge buff while out of combat. The magister at the gallows is meant to be killed if you fail her persuation check, to save Master Siva. There should not be an issue with killing her outright. So that buff is definitely not intended.

That one always had the permanent aura effect. And it is not the only one. There's a few of them throughout the game. That is just the 1st one you encounter.

This is not something that was changed with the DE version. It was always like that.

A few hints you can use.

Mind control then you get an aura insread of enemy team.

Petrifying effects (petrifying touch)

Freezing effects.

Crippling effect . (Physical so doesnt work against 100 %dodge)

Slow effects

And more . Just to mention a few.

Other enemies I’ve encountered so far who have permanent evasion: Aeterna in Black Pit & Black Ring warrior in Blood Moon Tree. Very difficult to beat without magic damage.

I think the Devs want to prevent super physical Lone Wolf build because it was too OP.

Evade does nothing to stop that build. There's over a dozen things you can do to reduce their evasion rating.

And more importantly, since the devs have changed nothing about how many enemies have this evade aura, it is obvious the devs have done nothing in that regard to counter a player build.

Another easy one: Glitter Dust. Mark means no dodge!
