Does elemental ranger talent works with blood ?
I mean a target standing on it's own blood, afer taking a hit ?
This is blood, so it should add physical damage.
I'm doing some tests, it seems to work because the damage I deal is over the max DPS shown on my character's profile, but I'm not sure...

Thx

Adds 20% of damage as elemental damage.
Blood adds Physical Damage.
The target must be standing in the surface not the player
Only works with basic attacks and special Arrows, not Skills

Yup

Ok thx, that seems worth it then.
I have to choose between this and all skilled up for +1 point in huntsman, but elemental ranger sounds better (except when using special abilities).

The only downside is it sometimes heals the target standing on its own element, but at least we can respec before such fights in DoS 2.

If you go with all skilled up, only put the point in huntsman if you need it for more skills. Warfare will help you deal more damage.

Generally, you’re better off with a different talent than all skilled up. I only use that talent in act one due to the benefits of the extra civil skill early on. Otherwise you’ll be better off with a different talent. If you do take it, take warfare. It scales better and is more reliable than other skills.

If you're going the elemental ranger route maybe torturer could be a good pick, it reduce the target fire res (if using fire) and allow you to deal 20% more damage. Forget if that's physical or if you don't play with other mages.

Yeah thx, I know that.
It sounds counter intuitive to give warfare to a ranger, but that's the best for damage strangely.
Well every physical character in my party maxed out warfare, even the rogue, but at least he can use some warfare skills (that all work with backstabs, even if this is not specified on the skill 's description)
My ranger is lvl 18, alwready maxed out Warfare, now doing huntsman.
I do prefer unique talents as well, but he alwready has all he needs:

- Pet Pal
- Hot Head
- Excecutioner
- Picture of health

He is more a physical, and I do have a mage but as a summoner/buffer.
I sometimes use the summon infusions, totems and some earth and ice CC for elemental damage on targets weak to magic, but not often enough to justify taking this talent.

Thx all

Do note that Torturer affects Entangled. Meaning Worm Tremor becomes an armor-ignoring mass immobilize, which is ridiculously useful.

With the nerf to spider legs, it is probably the most viable root spell in game if you have torturer. Most rogues get Torturer now, rupture tendons, so getting a few GEO points is actually worth it to pick this up. You can take on the Harbinger boss in Paradise Downs as soon as you hit Reaper's coast using a few casts of this spell with Torturer. Just get up on the cliff overlooking him and fire away, keeping him permanently rooted with all his undead magisters.

Fantastic way to cheese yourself some very good equipment. Not to mention a strong STR armor unique buried nearby that offers 3 memory and other useful stats.

So my lvl 18 mage maxed out summon.
I used to have him as a support character, mostly with geo and hydro spells, plus teleport, clear mind and hast.
The summons were the ones dealing elemental damage with infusions.
But I admit I sometimes don't know what to do with him, he's not always usefull since my team can handle the rest on their own.
So I hesitate to make him a Geo/pyro DPS now.
But no shield so he'll be very fragile.
And i'll have tog et rid of lots of memory and spells if I want to max out intelligence.
