You would need to game first tho because you do not own it.
Possible. Not entirely 100% is it ?
GOG or you know where.
Kinda a pet peeve of mine when someone starts off with dumb stuff like go buy the game before you ask questions... (worse is the whole "git gud" instead of offering advice first)...
I did answer his question and i don't help people who pirates game so i had to ask.
What did you do exactly in this thread except telling me crap ? Nothing.
I gave him his answer. Which is what he wanted.
These are the results of my little bit of testing for undead to undead soul mate:
Poison potion heals both.
Heals (restoration, health potions) hurt both.
Interestingly, if the target normally heals from the spell or potion (like your incarnate) you take damage and they heal
Cast necro spells that heal, transfer
But fortify, frost armor, bone cage etc. doesn't transfer... Despite the tooltip's description of any armor restoration you receive transferring...
If you need me to try any other specific spells out on this I'll give them a shot... I hope this answers your question.
And personally I have no issues with where a game gets bought, or what forum you ask your questions on... Steam forums at a lot more active than GOG not of the time, so I fully understand asking here...
Samael,
You guessed at an answer biased on it's tooltip description... Not exactly an answer since we can assume the OP can read it themselves...
You didn't ASK if he owned the game, you told him go buy it... All I did was point out there was no reason to assume he didn't own a valid copy from another source...
There are a few edge cases that interest me, but I can find them out myself - I needed to know if the healing works to decide whether I make number two undead as well, which is something I can't change in the game if I did it wrong.
Samael, please keep in mind that you can only check if I own the game because I explicitly allow you to, via my privacy settings. If I had a pirated copy, what's to stop me from putting my game library on private and then ask? Are you going to ask everyone with harder privacy settings to change them so you can check before answering?
The reason why I have my game library visible, by the way, is because of GOG Connect.
HE PIRATED IT
The skill description states: "Bind yourself to target character, copying any healing and Armour RESTORATION that you receive to them. Clears Frozen, Stunned, Knocked Down and Petrified."
Which means, Fortify, Frost Armor and Bone cage won't transfer, because they PROVIDE armor, as in you get bonus armor, even beyond your max. Wheras the Skill "Arcane Stich" for example states it restores, so that skill should work.
It might be a bug? I dunno... Just that I couldn't get it to work in or out of combat, with or without armor damaged already...
I just tested "Rallying Cry" and "Cannibalise". They do transfer the armor as intended. Physical, as well as magical.
Edit: "Arcane Stitch", "Mend Metal" does work as well.
I think I stop testing now, seems to be working as intended.
Was your test undead to undead also?
I had the armor transfer with living character's (loshe to Ifan), it wasn't working undead to undead (fain to undead player character)..
