is identifying glass consumeable?

I havent had any of my identifying glasses dissapear on me, and then suddently, when I quit the game and come back the next day, they are all gone.
So I try finding some more, check if they get consumed after use, which they dont.
But same thing again, I come back to the game 1 day after, and they are all gone.

Bug, or are they supposed to be consumed?

nope. either accidently sold it, or it was on an NPC you swapped out.

You can use one when crafting to make a scope lens, I think it is called but other than that just using it will not consume it. But I have like 15 of them anyway.
