(Quest)The Vault of Braccus Rex - Mysterious Cave Bug
I have seen no solution to this issue online or in other steam discussions. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I cannot enter the mysterious cave on the beach. I can click on it. The wooshing noise goes off. But I do not enter the cave.

I have been informed this mission is critical to moving forward in the game and this is a game i'm playing with 2 other friends. We would rather not have to start over and hope it works next time.

Please help!

It doesn't affect the main quest.

If you don't mind the spoiler:
The blue dragon will help you destroy all the shriekers. (It's my first play through, so I don't know if it doesn't help you in what condition)
As for the lever, if I recall correctly, you can bless it then use it.

The cave has some soul jar, which belong to some npc that you may fight.
I was fighting them and they keep resurrect, so I take the jar out the bag and break them, they die forever.
I don't know what happen if you don't find those jar. Maybe run away from them, it's easy fight, they simply don't stay down.

The wiki only shows one way to obtain Bless. But others have mentioned two other ways to get Bless. That's the only thing you need here.

So it IS a bug!!!!

It has almost driven me crazy in the past hours! I kept thinking maybe I missed something, like a hidden quest or some key, or I shouldn't have killed the three monsters nearby. And I couldn't find any guides or discussions referring to this problem until now.

Now I am relieved and can happily go on.

I am both happy and sad that this is a bug. I had also spent a few hours on this cave using spells on it. I just disabled my mods to see if that was it (it wasn't). I even thought i missed something or if i needed to dress as bracus rex to get in. At least now i can move on from that questline and into the rest of the game for now.

Any known work-arounds at the moment? Like a console command to teleport to the area or something?

Someone posted this, I followed the instructions, and a larian employee teleported my party into the cave. They got a new save file to me 2 hours. Nice on larian.

This is a bug in the latest update. Please email your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) to supportdos2@larian.com.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

This is a bad work around! It will bog down the support system with this fix. It takes time for a change to be discussed, implemented, tested, and approved. Even more time to wait for a release since that is not the only thing they are working on per patch. I also recommend waiting for a patch. Even though this is inconvenient they are aware of the issue so this issues days are numbered. Even if we don't know how many of those days there are.

No, I like the fact the fact that they do this so I can get right back into the game. A patch should drop very soon but for now this was a great workaround. Otherwise I may have to wait days to play.

I too am getting this bug. And waiting for the patch is my only option. I'm not going to bypass this part of the story.

What a bummer and a huge glaring issue. Game on indefinite hold for now.

Just a quick search reveals that this has been an issue since at least November. Hopefully that fix is rolled out sooner rather than later because several updates have come out since then.
