My characters bags randomly lock

Maybe i am missing somethings, but my inventory bags randomly lock, not allowing me to interact with the object in the inventory anymore. I do not mean the back packs, but the all inventory of the individual character.
Any Help?

This seems to be an issue more people have had with the new update. For me restarting the save file worked.

When this problem appeared to me i to was shocked and started looking around the internet for answers with nobody having any answer to give.

For all those who don't know how to answer something please don't write an answer bellow saying random things, its annoying, only answer the damn question if you know it.

Now that this is out of the way lets get to your problem.

My problem appeared after my elf consumed a Magister's leg and got enraged.

At first i had no idea what caused this problem so i did an experiment.

This is a re-loading of previous save's i made in order.

-First time i consumed this piece of leg it only locked my Main Characters inventory.

-Second time it locked two inventories of my companions.

-And final time i tested it to be 100% sure after eating this leg again it locked my Main and one Companion inventory.


Basically your inventory will lock upon doing something in-game, it seems to be a Game Mechanic and not a bug.

Now in my case it was consuming a Magister leg and my Elf got enraged.

In other cases it may be lets say for example you spoke to someone who is friends with one of your companions or a person of interest to them in a rude way.

Expect the unexpected in this game.

Your choices can also lead to a companion to leave your group.

Always make a Quick-Save before (IF possible) every battle and dialogue, its gonna save your life more than once.


Try and recall your last steps before realizing your inventory got locked, something you did made it lock. It doesn't seem to be a bug or glitch.

same, i.e., had to Quit and then Start game (plain reload did NOT work)

I've encountered this twice in 400 hours of playing. Both times F5 then F9 fixed it.

Happened several times to me, always fixed by simply loading a save.

Happened two times. Save and load fixed it

Unchain the party then back always works for me
