Taunt should not ignore physical armour (After the new patch)
A wolf in nameless isle taunted all my characters, the effect is like charmed.
One of my taunted charcters did not attack the wolf with all the AP. But instead she attack the wolf with 2AP and use 2AP on her consumable on another character.

My concern is the taunted character is using my consumable.
It is worser than a character being charmed because it bypass my armor directly.

Consumables being used is annoying.
LEPROUS Feb 1, 2018 @ 8:58pm
It is not only cunsumables but it also makes stupid skill usages and when you can control it again all the skills are on cooldown.
The new Taunt sux :(

I never liked how Taunt worked in this game. For AI, yeah they should attack you. But against player it should only give you a debuff if you attack anything other than the enemy who cast it on you...like just about every single RPG that ever had taunt, hell making all enemies completely untargettable except for the Invoker, is a better design decision.

The wolf in nameless isle don't have magical armor. I use medusa head and finish them.

BTW, Ifan's soul wolf got the taunt skill. But it's 5 turns cool down. But the soul wolf don't have magical armour, may be charmed and probably attacking his master.. lol.

Given that the description, 'Summons your trusty Soul Wolf' , I suggsted the soul wolf can be affected by other magical status except charmed.

Wow, those black ring warriors got the skill Provoke or Taunt too.
He taunts and two of my characters got taunted.

Now, Peace of mind is a necessary skill for all of my characters.

Taunt is too over powered now sadly. It would be ok if you still could control your character while taunted to prevent them doing stupid things like useing all the consumables or blowing up stuff near your other characters.
It actually is a MASS CHARM skill for AI now...

One step forward and two steps back.

Can't say that people didn't want Provoke to be useful.

If only they realized...

Consumables being used?

I agree that's going way too far, it should make it so that you have to deal damage to the character that invoked taunt until it dies or taunt expires.

Yeah, as it sits now taunt is basically the same as madness or charm... I could see it forcing your character to just attack (basic attack), or move to and attack the taunter... That would at least make sense, since the idea of taunt is your pissing off the other guy so they get mad and focus on just whacking on you...

But when you get taunted now there's some screwy results... My melee chr got taunted, the NPC that taunted him then jumps across the battlefield to whack at one of my mages, so on my melee's turn he cannot directly attack him... So instead of walking over and hitting him (within walk and attack range), he throws two grenades at him, hitting both him, my mage and my incarnate...
On another occasion the melee Chr just drank my str potion and then used a air spell scroll, WTH?...

Yeah, this is more an issue with how the AI handles your charmed/taunted/insane party members than anything else. I go out of my way to avoid interaction with any of those mechanics as much as possible because of how annoying they are.

That really seems like how it SHOULD work, as taunts generally do in rpgs.

The new taunt is crazy. I literally just got taunt several days ago; liked it; very helpful. Now, cost 2 APs, and should cost 4 how OP it is.

The AI landing Taunt on one of your characters should act differently. If one of my characters is taunted, then I should still have control of the character, but buffs/support skills I should still be able to cast on my companions, but all attack/debuff/dps skills can only be targeted at the toon you're taunted to. Taunt should NOT act like Charm.
