[Spoilers] How to finish the Red Prince's quest in Arx's Lizard Consulate?
So I'm playing as the Prince, and I went through this "portal" in the Lizard Consulate building in Arx. The portal took me to some desert location with a lot of platforms and "black mirrors" all around me. I can't seem to beat the fight that follows...what do I need to do? I noticed about 6-8 mirrors in the location, do I have to destroy them all to be able to kill the enemies?

Yeah, you first have to destroy them, then beat the enemies. Otherwise they will keep respawing. The mirrors have a 99% resistance to physical and earth, are immune to the rest but have nothing against piercing damage. Marksmans fang and armorpiercing grenades are your best friend in that fight.

In the conversation leading up to the fight it mentions something about things stepping out of the mirrors, and each time you kill an enemy it respawns in front of one. It is also a very similar mechanic to what you needed to beat the enemies in the consulate itself. These were the hints provided for you to figure out what you need to do.

yeah you need to get rid of all of them. you can use ranged to pick off most of them, and if you have a summoner you can also send the summon around to melee the mirrors out of reach without actually starting the fight (be forewarned killing all of them before starting the fight forfeits a good chunk of exp from an additional mob but if you really are struggling you can just get rid of them all beforehand anyway and forfeit the exp, idr the exact amount)

Once I realized the mirrors respawn the enemies, I reloaded and just shot as many mirrors as I could from the start position with my archer. Sky shot helps reach the far ones, and a gemoancer should be able to get the ones around the corner walls. If you take them out before combat, it's an easy fight.
