Two-Handed Warfare Build
So I'm going to make my character a mainly two-handed warfare build but I was wondering what else would go well with it. Should I dip a few points into other skills for buffs? Any suggestions would be welcome.

1 polymorph is good for tentacle, which is just straight up better than a normal swing until you get a lot of crit. Chicken claw is good CC early as well. I wouldn't bother going into other skills for buffs until you've maxed out warfare and have a good number of points in scoundrel--just look for skills you want on gear. I'd probably be looking for mobility over buffs--tactical retreat is great as you get both from it so I'm always looking for ways to pick up 2 huntsman.

Got it, I'll look in to what you said, thanks!

Try this build.

Think of it like playing medieval subzero with a twohander or sword and shild

Thank you so much, that eternal warrior build looks fun as hell!

Necromancer is worth a couple of points on pretty much any character you make. Even if you don't want to use any of the spells because it goes against your character theme or somesuch the passive effect is just too damn amazing to pass up!

I am having a lot of success with a version of the "Eternal Warrior" posted on Fextralife. Other than trying to max out Warfare (eventually), I dip into 3 Polymorph (Bull Horns, Tentacle Lash, Chicken Claw, and Skin Graft [best Source skill in the game, I think]), 2 Aerotheurge (Uncanny Evasion and Teleportation), 1 Geomancer (Fortify), 1 Hydrosophy (Armor of Frost), 2 Necromancer (Bone Cage [can easily double your Physical Armor if timed well in most fights and triple it in some fights]), and 1 Scoundrel (Adrenaline is arguably the only skill in the game semi-required for literally every class/build).

Mobility is indeed very important on any melee; so I try to get the Pawn on every melee ASAP.

While I agree that Tactical Retreat is fantastic, I am not sure if I'd prioritize on getting 2 Huntsman. I'd rush to Aerotheurge or Necromancer 2 instead, as both give you more at level 2.

I agree; it's an excellent melee school to dip into for around 2-3 points - along with Polymorph and Aerotheurge.

I think either scoundrel or huntsman for utility is a must for pretty much everyone.

With scoundrel you get movement (Cloak and dagger) also Adrenaline and Chloroform are nice bonuses.

With huntsman you get movement and buff in one (Tactical retreat) while First Aid can be also very useful in some situations.

I'd consider Scoundrel a "must" for Adrenaline; but I am just not persuaded for Huntsman - at least not any more than Polymorph or Aerotheurge. Tactical Retreat is nice, but there are two other alternatives elsewhere in Cloak and Dagger (Scoundrel) and Phoenix Dive (Warfare). First Aid is really good indeed, but that just needs 1 Skill point investment.

I second tossing a couple points into Aero, and Necro, as a well as one for polymorph. Teleportion is so extremely useful for grabbing stray archer/mage enemies and setting up a good whirlwind. Necro keeps you alive with all that vitality draining in some of the tougher fights.
Tentacle lash from polymorph is just awesome. It seems to always hit, has medium range, and wrecks. I've used it to finish off so many enemies that were just out of reach.

If need be, you can usually find gear with aero points. It seems to be ridiculously common on gear.
