Is how armor looks on your character influenced by class?
Depending on the class you picked at the beginning of the game, will that judge how your character wears a set of armor? I know how armor looks can differ race to race, but will a piece of armor look the same on human wizard and a human knight?

Yes, it will. Other than race, armor appearance is largely determined by rarity, level, and if its considered light (Intelligence), medium (Finesse), or heavy (Strength) armor.

Thanks for the reply. Though I suppose I should have made it clearer in my question, I was meaning the same piece of armor. Say you had a piece of heavy armor, will that same piece look exactly the same on a human regardless of class? Will it change how the armor looks of your character chose wizard at the beginning of the game vs. if you chose warrior, like I said, assuming it is the exact same piece of equipment.

That's because there aren't any classes as such. The skill system is entirely point-buy and (other than the separation between combat and civil points) can be assigned (and once you reach Act 2, reassigned) as you see fit.

The 'class' blurbs and values presented at character generation are just quick-start arrangements of the initial points; if you custom build you can allocate them however you want.

Exactly. They're starter presets and you're not bound to them. As soon as you're out of Fort Joy, you can respec completely whenever you want. The only limiting factor is buying skillbooks, and having gear available.

If I start out as a Knight, find some Spellcaster gear and buy some Spellcaster skillbooks, I can completely respec for free and become a spellcaster. And if I later get bored of that, I can respec back to being a knight. At will. For free.
