No. What I meant is that Larian will release the console version of the Definite Edition, then port it to PC and some time after that will launch a Kickstarter campaign for their Next Game™ (most likely D:OS3).
And for those questioning the need for Kickstarter funding, there's plenty of reasons for it. It'll secure funding to extend the scope of the game, reduces the financial risk (even with Kickstarter funding new game requires major investment of money from Larian), acts as advertisement (both from press and thru word of mouth of the backers and fans) and measures how public feels about any major changes in the setting or mechanics they plan to introduce.
I'll admit, the #1 thing I like about kickstarter is getting the game cheaper than any other way. I backed DOS2 for $25 and that got me the full game on release.
I wish every game gave that option.
