My honest review
It has been a long time since I've found a game that truly captures me. This game really is immersive, with beautiful graphics, awesome voice acting, in depth skill and spell trees, crafting menus, and music. It is easy to get lost in this game as well as to loose track of the hours. For instance, I started playing this game at 9am, and next thing I knew, it's already 3pm, and I'm busy digging through barrels, talking to the local people as well as my party members, learning more about them and their lore. Talking with people doesn't just yeld basic text boxes, but amazing voice acting, with actual emotion. Hell, I even ended up having a "Intelligent debate" with a Immortal (a walking skeleton) about the future of humanity and the secrets of the cosmos. And no, that wasn't from doing drugs, that actually is in the game. The last time I was this lost in a game was way back when in my times of playing Baulders Gate.

Pros:
Graphics are beautiful.
Voice acting is spot on.
Music (ambient and current) make you get lost in the setting.
Ambient SE's are amazing. Standing on the beach head I literally felt like I was standing on the beaches of Maine, and the shores of Caladona.
Combat feels very polished. Many times instead of rushing into battle, I have to hang back for a minute, and plan my attacks. Such as do I throw a oil barrel down to create a oil slick and then ignite it? If so, will that also hit my party members? Will that block my ability to move forward? Lots of stratagy can be needed.

Cons:
The game can feel a bit laggy at times, but that's from a combination of playing it for long periods of time, as well as the standard setting of it saving to the cloud. The saving to the cloud feature is easly disabled in the properties menu and clears this issue up quickly

Not enough hours in the day to play.

All in all, I whole heartedly recommend this game to all that are considering getting this game. If you want to wait for a sale, do so, but if you're able to afford to purchase this game, get it. You won't be dissappointed. Now if you excuse me, there's a barrel over there that I need to loot.

Yep. My sentiments exactly. Just a fantastic game that I will be playing over and over with different characters and mods, etc.

The only real down side that i have with is that if you don't do a bit of research on how to build your character you'll screw yourself over badly later. Its a ton of fun with friends, once everyone figures ot what they're doing.

For example, we justfied the 'facial expressions' on my undead necromancer as him using charcoal to draw eyebrow expressions on his face, while my friend (the elf) went around collecting faces from people's he killed and writing down the names of their past owners (we later joked about him slapping a magister with the face of their commanding officer as he way of explaining why they ran off so quickly.)

I misread that as "collecting feces" and it was even more entertaining to read :)
