And yeah good positioning always helps in this game :)
Oh and while we're on it try getting new skills too if you can maybe that can help as well.
Also, you can position your high DPS archer or mage near the room with the chest to get elevation bonus.
If you have amara's arm from the start you can give it to him, which allows you to summon minions/totems etc before starting the fight, and then backstab him etc to start it off (making it much easier). Also you can split up your party before moving close to him, allowing squishy characters with more range to be further back, so he can't backlash them. Ensure the character that moves forward and starts the actually battle has enough armor, and his initially attack won't matter. You can also teleport him INTO a cage btw lol.
