It has been on 10% off discount twice on Steam and three times on GOG since full release (it wasn't on sale even once during the EA period). I'm sure it'll go on sale during the summer sales at the latest. Just don't expect deep discounts. It took first D:OS over 2 years to go 50% off and it went 66% off only after D:OS2 release.

I have set up a price alert using the site as detailed in one of the replies above.
I can hold out for a few weeks and see if the February sale offers up a discount, even if it is 10 percent, I am unlikely to get round to playing for a few weeks..
The game is still in the top 20. There is no reason to discount it presently. I think the best you can hope for is about 20% off in the summer sale but only if the game has fallen out of the top 40 since March. Even that is unlikely becasue DOS2 continues to sell well - DOS1 stayed in the charts for a very long time ther is every reason to think DOS2 will do the same.
Secondly there will be console releases soon, This means two things: Larian will be getting anotrher big tranch of sales from the game anyway and secondly they will not want to piss off console players by asking full price on Xbox and PS4 and the same time as giving it away on PC.
Thirdly there is China. They are, I understand, working on a Chinese translation. China now has almost as many Steam members as N. America and is growing daily. This type of game is very popular in China. Go figure the impact of a Chinese translation release on DOS2 sales.
Fourthly DOS2's 94% approval rating says to everyone considering it "This is one of the best games of it's type you can buy." That is worth about five times as much as any discount in driving future sales.
So overall, if you want to play DOS2 you shouold consider paying it's very reasonable asking price, it's easily worth it, becasue if you want to wait for a substantial discount you will be probably be waiting for a very long time - Feb 2020 is probably more realsistic than Feb 2018.
Decided to give them some more money because I like what they're doing.
It's still new and kind of buggy, I wouldn't buy unless you really want to play and can handle bugs in your game. Otherwise wait until it's all patched and DLC'd up.
I'm playing thru DOS 1 EE and now and it's great. Slightly gimped version compared to the original I guess but oh well. Can't seem to find where I can get classic. and no I didn't get it with EE.
No idea what the deal is in Russia. Does the game even come with any sort of Russian translation?
You can see the languages of this game on the store page. You been using Steam for 13 years. Kinda time you know where this info is located.
Sorry for grammar
