Rarity Explained
Hi

I am curious how the equipment rarity works in this game.

In what order are the items from best to worse?
Previously, I assumed that:
Common > Rare > Epic > Legendary > Divine, in terms of power; whereas Uniques occupied an unique role. Is this correct?

Also, is it true that as you progress further into the game, items of higher rarities(Legendaries/Divine) become more common, and even replacing White/rare drops?

As far as I know, you have the order correct. I would say the higher tier items become more common, but it'd be more accurate to just say they become available period. Outside of geared up max lucky charm, you aren't going to get any divine stuff until around level 16-17 at least. Boss enemies at 18+ will usually have one divine piece of equipment, and vendors usually get one divine piece of 1-2 types of equipment (shield, sword, wand, etc) at around 18. I wouldn't call them common, as you're not going to get enough to fully deck out a party of 4 with all divine at level gear, but you should have one or two pieces per character. Keep in mind they're suuper expensive by comparison to other equipment though.

And no, they do not replace lower levbel drops. Minions and random enemies will still mostly drop sellable garbage, and 80% of vendors' inventory will be base level gear.

I don't think I've run into any problem with the prices.

Currently running at level 18 with 300k+ gold and increasing; all the while buying almost ever level-equal Divine equipment I find amongst merchants that I have use for.

100 attitude and 9 Bartering seems quite effective at keeping the party stocked. I noticed in Reaper's coast it was possible to cycle through as much as 5+ different merchants to really allow you to deck out a party in divine quality gear.

Yeah, the colors help you tell which is which, but I think he was just clarifying what the order is. Like epic and legendary are the two that could easily be mixed up, and they're both a shade of purple, so if you aren't used to the game you might not know which is better.

every rpg I played the purple is always the rare, then blue and green, yellow

The item’s level is more important than the rarity. I think of rarity as horizontal in terms of importance like you showed. The level is vertical in importance. A level 15 epic beats a level 12 legendary. Some items with special effects may be so valuable that you hang onto them for a long time (e.g. teleportation gloves).
