unfortunately neither of these tactics will work because I am initiating combat with the explosion.
When 1 enemy is surrounded by 5 oil drums, and they all explode, he takes damage from one explosion.
Although earlier on in the game i was able to get the enemy in the same situation to take damage from all 5 oil barrels upon initiating combat.
I am still on my first. in the difference of a few hours my oil drum tactic stopped working.
One theory that i have been working on is that the oil drum damage never changes. Meaning that at level 10 they will do significantly more % of the enemies health due to the exponential increase of vitality. The issue with this theory is that i can see mummie only getting hit one time even though theres tons of drums surrounding her
Another theory that i have been thinking about is that my oil drums were too close to eachother when attacking mummie. (i was trying to block her so she couldnt move) and when i used them earlier on in the game i was spreading them out maybe like a fireball aoe circles distance away from eachother.
I moved on and gave up on testing this for my frst playthrough, but i will probably get to the bottom of this in the future.
