Question about Radeka's purging wand and Dragon Slane

So I ran into an issue where the purging wand I picked up in Tromdoy's cavern would run out of charges, but when trying to go back to Gratiana to recharge, she's now gone from Act 1 altogether (dunno why, she just disappears the moment you clear the first two shriekers and Gareth triggers the next step). So Ibacktracked a bit on my save files, and decided to explore elsewhere knowing there's another wand available. Low and behold I got a 2nd purging wand from the witch Radeka, but unfortunately I lose it when I free Dragon Slane.

So I'm curious, if I backtrack before releasing Slane, use Radeka's wand to remove the other Shriekers, if it's out of charges will it still qualify to release Slane should I return to complete that questline?

If you free Slane, he will destroy the shriekers if you approach them. There is also the Tyrant's Helm in the Armory where you first met Gareth. It will give you 3 purges (watch out for the demon that pops up after the last use). If memory serves, there are only 7 shriekers on the map and you only have to destroy 2 of them to progress, so recharging shouldn't be an issue. There really isn't much point in destroying any of the shriekers other than the two before the Alexander fight. You will get Source Vampirism in Act 2 that functions the same as a purging wand, so don't worry about stocking up on them.
