Mute in Reaper's Coast (Driftwood)

I know about the Nicholas thing now. But I did not talk to him, and my character is muted now anyway. Ideas why and can it be fixed?

I noticed it first when I was at the area between where Jahan is and the destroyed bridge at the Deathfog covered lake

Is it a bug? I don't recall being muted by Jahan. What does it say when you click on the details?

All it says is character can no longer use magic. I read cleansing water cures it. How do I obtain or make it?

use waygate go to drift wood and check the market I think you can buy that spell. what happens when you rest?

No luck on finding a spell or something in market. Now, this is gonna sound stupid, but how do you rest?
