spoilers. when to perform ritual 2nd time?

I beat mordus and have him teach me a while ago. have also gotten some blackroot from the cloisterwood. not sure if to do the ritual again or hold off. I believe it gives you source vamparism which would be nice as having to warp back to siva's house all the time is getting annoying.

As soon as you have access to your second source point, you can do the ritual again. There isn't really any reason not to as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Yeh, you do it every source point. Though, you can always rush the two easiest source points (in the highest level parts of act two) and just blast through the ritual all at once. Three source points is easy to get with the right strategy. Though for a normal run like you’re probably looking to do, going back for the ritual after getting your second point is wise. You’ll need another blackroot for the third though. There’s plenty where you found the other though.

You don't have to go back to Siva to do the ritual, as long as you still have the ritual bowl and the obsidian knife in your inventory and some blackroot, and you have a fire spell or fire arrow (or someone in your party does). Combine the ingredients, place on the ground and cast the spell or shoot the arrow at the bowl. Then inhale the smoke. Voila.
