Should I re-buy the game on pc?
Please no PC is better than console or vice a versa, we all have our preferences.

I purchased the game on xbox a couple of months ago after watching the Sir Lora trailer. Sadly I was unable to purchase Sir Lora. some hicup with the microsoft store.
After weeks of back and fourth between me and the developers customer support I am starting to think this is an issue that just will not be resolved.

While Larian studios support has really impressed me I just get the impression that it is a low priority for microsoft and the studio...its a £2 dlc after all. Well the game is on sale on steam and while I hate to buy a game I already own I am tempted.

I asked the customer service rep the following questions, and would like to ask you guys too:

1) How much does the Sir Lora DLC add to the game?
2) How good is his quest line and dialog?
3) How much replayability is there in the game? if I play it without Sir Lora while I wait for the issue to be fixed, then start a new game, how much will be repetitive?

additionally:
4) can the pc version be played fully with a control pad (sofa gamer here)

sir lora is adds some nice little flavor between quests and gives you a few things as you progress, his dialog is fun cos you know he's a squirrel riding a skeleton cat, in my playthroughs I don't think I managed to complete his 'quest' but I'm not sure, personally I wouldn't buy the game again just for him though

replayability depends on you and if you want to play a different way and make different choices, there are definitely different sides to take throughout the game

pc can be played with controller too though I've never tried it so I don't know how good it is

I wouldn't rebuy just for Sir Lora. But you do get mod support on the PC as well.

I did look in the steam workshop but nothing really jumped out at me as being must have.

Sir Lora is entertaining up until keeping him alive becomes a chore. The primary mod you'd want is the one to make him invulnerable.

The replay value simply depends on how much you enjoy the game and its combat as the primary replay value comes from trying new builds. Things do play out differently with different characters in the party and there are different ways to progress, keeping playthroughs somewhat unique. You just have to want to try things you missed with new builds.

It does have full controller support, but the controls are much more suited to a mouse. When I did try a controller, everything felt clunky and tedious. But it does work should that be your preference.

I did find Sir Lora entertaining, but it's basically just like adding another storied companion to your party, but one who you can't control and doesn't fight in combat. It's not a huge addition, so in my opinion, not worth rebuying the whole game for. But if you do end up buying the PC version for whatever reason, then I do recommend the Sir Lora DLC.

The workshop is mostly just mechanics reworks, so you can play the game the way you want to, but you also can't get achievements with mods on.

M&KB is definitely better for the game. I tried playing this with a controller, but I wasn't feeling it. Too many different types of menus and options to navigate with a controller.

That's not to say M&KB will be a totally game changing experience as a whole, but it's a lot more convenient compared to playing with a controller.

Been playing a lot of empyrion and that you have to use mouse and keyboard, man its uncomfortable. I have to have cables going across my front room (wireless never seems to work right for me) keyboard on lap, mouse on the cushion next to me, its a pain. If this one has shoddy controller support on pc I think I will just wait for microsoft to fix the console version.

I mean, I'm pretty sure it has the same controller support as the console version. Its just that compared to KB&M, the game just isn't built to play with controller nearly as well. Its not a lack of functionality or anything, just more tedious controls.

M&KB is just uncomfortable in general after a long period of time, but I think you just have to accommodate based on the game. For me, most single player RPGs, or single player third person narratives, fighting games - I'm for sure playing with a controller. But simulation games, MMOs, isometric games, or third person PVP games - I have to play with M&KB. I'm definitely playing Cyberpunk with a controller on PC.

But Divinity is a game with a lot of menu navigating, so M&KB is the better option, imo.

If its the same as the console then it will be fine. I play diablo on the console, ark on console and pc both with the pad. for me mouse and keyboard is needed only on percision building or sim city style games but thats down to personal taste and the fact I am a sofa gamer not a desktop one (sitting at a desk just feels too much like being at work lol)
