What is a gift bag and how do you claim it?
Hi all,

Just got this game yesterday and finally finished downloading, but I'm not quite sure what a gift bag is. Apparently there is a 3rd one just recently released? Even though I bought it, I don't really have the time to do any real grinding or stuff like that right now, so I hope it is something that you can just get by opening up the game maybe? Or is it an update by itself?

If it is something that expires after a certain time, when is the deadline? Please enlighten me.

It’s effectively a pack of officially sanctioned mods that were popular with the pc community. The devs took them and made a more official version to add to the game so all platforms can use them. They’re activated in the esc menu in-game. You can’t turn them off once activated and I believe they disable achievements. They’re not exactly balanced, they’re just there for players who want to mix things up a bit.

Thank you very much, but 1 more question if you don't mind. Since this is the 3rd, I'm assuming there were 2 gift bags before this? Can I use those too if I wish even though I only bought the game now?

yes there all just small additions to the game #2 was mods that were simply ported (tiny changes to them, but in small print the original creators were given credit) # 1 was a few more cosmetics in character creation

Gift bags are (all 3) in game already.
First one added a few faces/haircuts to custom character creation.
2 & 3 : as Chaoslink said, those are 'mods' and can be accessed through the 'esc' menu.

You can also preview which does what when you click on the 'bag' on the left in the main menu.

Thank you both! Since they seem to disable achievements, I'll play through this game without enabling them first. You've been very helpful.

if you care about achievments just go to nexus and grab the mod that re-enables them.

Yeah, there is a mod you can get to enable achievements again, but I’d still recommend playing unmodded your first time around.
