Sebille scares me
My main character is a lizard in my play through and the first thing Sebille did when I approached her in Fort Joy was grab me and put a knife to my throat. I was genuinely worried she was just going to slice me open on the spot until I talked her into traveling with me with a persuasion check.

Wanted to say, "You're welcome for getting your sorry ass off that boat, ungrateful b**ch."

I want a rogue for my team, but this woman has such an unbridled hatred of lizards I'm almost certain I'm going to get backstabbed (figuratively or literally) at some point. Guess I can't blame her since a lizard sold her into slavery, but still, think you'd be at least a little nicer to the person who saved you from dying in a sinking ship...

Ya she not my favorite character either but she is still in my party cuz her corpse eater adds a ton of additional backstory to the game. My party is Red Prince, Lohse, Sebille & Beast

I also have the Prince and took Sebille as companion.

It actually makes sense lore-wise for her to hate lizards, but you can turn that around with certain in-party dialogue.

Sebille is by far my favorite character. If built right she is deadly. Her story is also one of the best.

She just puts up a tough front is all. Just like how The Prince comes off as all high and mighty... though he kinda stays that way. Sebille gets clingy. If you think that’s fun, try playing as Red and try romancing Sebille...

how do you do that? I don't have the option in their dialogues

Not a one button thing. You gotta progress the game and it'll eventually be an option.

I'm at the end of act 2 and talking to her from time to time. Thought they'd get something going by this point)

Yeah, I killed her. I thought it would be one of those things where you fight her and then sh, respects your combat prowess or something. But nope she just died. I thought about reloading to recruit her, but she seemed a bit too much of murderhobo for me.

lol, that's some flawed game design. You'd think that in a "beginner area" you'd make it so she wouldn't die that easily to just some dialog selection and give you the option to select her since she's actually one of the key story event options.

Why is that flawed and why wouldn’t I think you’d be able to? Quests should be failable. No do over, no alternate completion method, just straight failure. Not every situation has a second option after all. Characters should be killable. Things should be able to be broken in ways like this and have paths/consequences set for those alternate paths. It isn’t flawed game design, it’s excellent game design with a believable level of depth. You handle a situation a certain way and you face the consequences of your actions. I’d much rather see games follow the lead and put that effort in to allow these paths to be taken. Imagine failing an objective and not just being forced to the last checkpoint. Games would be more fun and it would do wonders to add some more interesting single player stories to gaming.

You can take Fane if you want to eat corpses to get those interactions and storylines. He can become elf on command. Just a heads up.

To be fair, anyone can become an elf at any time that way.
