Source Insta-refill
I'm still in Driftwood with about 2 source points on my characters. It's a very useful mechanic that I find myself using in almost every battle. I just hate the fact (or at least the fact in my playthrough so far) that the only way to fill your source bars is to walk into a source puddle or find a source canister.

Is there any reason why source doesn't refill back when a fight ends like with magic/physical armor and doesn't something happen later in story that makes finding or refilling source easier?

At two Source points you should be able to do the Meister's ritual and speak with your god again, then they give you a skill to drain Source from corpses. Basically the corpse explodes and ghost (if any) disappears and you get Source, so basically after every fight. Alternatively you can get a mod that enables Source refill on using a bedroll, but the drain on bodies is more than enough.

True that could work but going to a corpse and casting source vampirism and then waiting for the skill to reset can be tedious especially when done for all 4 characters. That's 8 times at level 2 and 12 at level 3.

I think source doesn't refill automatically because the act of consuming of source, especially that of corpses, is presented as a morally grey choice It's one of the actions that makes your character 'impure'. You've not just killed them, you've denied them this universe's version of the afterlife for the sake of power.

I usually drop one of the teleporter pyramids at the Source Fountain in Meistr Sylva's house and return there whenever I need to.

I pretty much don't fret over this. I think I use only couple of spells/skills that don't take up memory and use source. Others I don't bother, there's enough good skills/spells without any source cost at all.

There's a mod that refills your source, along with healing you, when you used a bedroll. Very nice quality of life mod.

yeah if im playing modded i always use that one. Its QoL that doesnt hurt the game since the pyramids are there to serve the same purpose just with an added teleport. Resting Ressurects is another one i use sometimes if i don't feel like wasting my money on carrying extra scrolls for when one of my people decides that a lava bath sounds like a fun time.

There are equipment items that give you a spell to recover source from dead bodies in the world. I forget the name of the spell but I use it frequently to restore lost Source as there are dead bodies everywhere.
