Question about loremaster
I heard that level 5 is the max. I´ve it actually on lvl 4 (act 2) so can I go higher or is 5 the max. level for this?

And are the stats better on a higher level or is the level just for the item itself?

You can go further (with items), but it's useless. There is no items needing more than 5.

You can also get more info on ennemies with loremaster, but it's all about it.

I would suggest you go on a more useful civil ability. : D You can go on merchants to do that (or, if you have no problem with that, you can only invest in loremaster with the mirror, and respe after that for something else). : D

Loremaster doesn’t affect the stats on the items you identify, just the amount of details you can see when examining enemies and the maximum level of items you can identify. It’s a good skill to have.

All civil skills can only have 5 points invested. To get them higher, you need items. Some skills don’t really benefit from boosted points though. Elves get +1 loremaster naturally, if you can get gear to boost it to the level you need as you need it, you can avoid investing too much into it. However, most of the time trying to split between two different civil skills isn’t worth it.

Up to loremaster 3 is useful for character types that find it useful to know the opponents resistances. For instance archer that needs to plan out the fight with regards to the best arrow choice.

However, you only get 6 total Civil points, so generally, you want to max whatever you start putting points into.

Taking it to 5 will let you identify every item in the game, and gives you Action Point information about enemies (Starting AP, AP per turn, Max AP).

Knowing their AP per turn and max AP doesn't really help since they can use "monster" spells or "NPC only" spells
