Endless Runner may help in time-sensitive situations like stealth but mostly it's a quality of life feature.
And I understand why it might have been smart to temporarily pressure new players to invest their points wisely. For replays however, it's a nuisance to once again lose the freedom that the mirror offers. You still need to earn your respecs by gathering the appropriate gear and skill books so I think it's fair game. Having the mirror mod is like having an advanced setting that is useful for people who have gone into another playthrough not fully knowing what they want their party to be.
But the Herb Gardens for example is extremely capable of destroying the games economy. It's a straight up source of quick and infinite money. Buy the most expensive herb you can find. Multiply it as many times as you want. Sell your yield to take whatever damn equipment or skill book you want, when you want.
But their are mods out there which you can download seperately. And I would recommend the mod that re-enables achievements if you're planning to use your mods fairly.
I very much dislike Mods that give you a distinctly unfair advantage over the ai/npcs. I fully get the Herb Garden thing (I've even used it a bit myself, but not to absurd levels), but seriously the respec mirror and endless runner are like lifesavers, not to mention 8 max ap. Lone wolf on tactician is fairly difficult unless you know what you're doing and know how to manipulate the ai to your advantage and such. Even with 8 AP Lone Wolf fights with lots of enemies are hard to deal with, so it's not like it's gamebreaking.
The mirror has saved me quite a few times now, I like to do builds that can clear through Fort Joy easily, but might struggle with Alexander and beyond, so being able to respec before you fight him is such an amazing quality of life improvement.
And yes i know about the mods that re-enable achievements, but thank you for the information regardless.
