[RESOLVED] Can't finish the game solo (raining blood issue)

I'm currently playing through the game solo. I'm at the pipe puzzle after the first crypt - I do not have the spell raining blood or the ability to attack myself to generate blood. None of the vendors available to me are selling blank skill books or the raining blood skill book.

I've attemtped to combine a blank hydrosophist book with a blank necromancy book and repeatedly receive "invalid combination".

So I just can't conclude the game solo? Is that it?

I do not know if you have to be an Elf but try consuming some body parts that you can find scattered throughout the game. Usually that'll leave a pool of blood under you. If you have to be an Elf, just craft the mask or use the Shapeshifter Mask.

Per the wiki site, it isn't blank books to use but a necro and hydro skillbook. Just buy the two cheapest ones and use those.

Dang i was hoping to play the game solo just for fun since divinity OS forced me to have 2 characters at a minimum for story purpose.

So you need rain blood or polymorhing? well cant you get a shape changing mask from fane?

Just craft a Blood Rain skillbook by combining any non-source Hydro book + Any non-source Necro book. Should be pretty easy by Act 4.

can only pass the pipes if you bleed another character. There is no other way. Can't bleed yourself?
It has to be blood from someone.

No you can,
Causing bleeding on yourself with rupture when you have no physical armor.
Get a bloated corpse to the area and explode
Combine a basic Hydro and Necro skill book(rain+mosquito swarm)
Eat a body part
As a elf use Flesh sacrifice(Mask of the shapeshifter if you are not a elf)

I resolved it.

I actually used Storm of Blood and Rain + some source orbs I'd saved in my inventory. I'd previously sold Storm of Blood to Tarquin and was able to buy it back. Then I found Rain on the succubus.
