Oof, meant peace of mind. Clear minded is the actual status effect that it applies.
You can dismiss Lohse and get a Mercenary from Sergeant Zrilla, yes you might need to give her Lohse's gear or buy one but otherewise Mercenaries function as a normal character. Then use him or her to kill Doctor, dismiss the mercenary and get Lohse back.
Also, which difficulty you are playing on ? If its on easier difficulties then it shouldnt be so outlandish to land a victory with average party atleast, unless you have some awful classes like one handed warriors with shields aka tanks, dedicated healers and generally scattered damage sources. Game doesnt exactly tell you that they are bad (And they become much, worse the higher you go with difficulty) because how you win fights in this game is to go full DPS, you wont need tanks or healers if nobody is left alive.
Even with charm immunity, Lohse is charmed? That doesn’t sound right…. The fight is usually rough, but not unbeatable.
Andramaliks charm isnt the same as the charm from summoning tree, its story-based ability. I always solved it via mercenary or by simply detaching Lohse and leaving her in front of the hospital while 3 of us kill the deamon if my party is very strong.
Peace of mind didn’t usually work if I recall, though it might’ve delayed it. I remember needing to use Strong Will potions for the immunity effect. You can occasionally find a helmet with it too.
I haven’t experienced how it plays out too recently however, so if something has changed and charm immunity does not protect her, I wouldn’t be aware.
Since Lohse in our group is played by my real-life girlfriend - and she absolutely loves the game and this particular character - I'm not sure our relationship will survive me breaking this news. Oh woe is me....
When playing as Sebille, the interaction with Shadow Prince is different as if she was a companion, as a companion, you can lose her permamently if you mess it up but as playable character you will use source blast to stop it automatically in dialog.
So Lohse, is unique in this sense that she can get perma killed in her own story when played both as a companion and as a avatar.
