Repair Hammer / Tongs

Yo! So repair hammers' are consumed like intended.
However, Tongs aren't! They're bascially godlike repair hammers now.
Anyone else get this?

Funny, I found 4 repair hammers and after reaching level 5 and repairing after every combat i still have 4 repair hammers. Same holds true for the identifying glass. Tongs are the first thing you find on the beach before reaching the fort entrance and allow you to repair things after the initial combats.

The repair hammer must be a bug. The first 8 hours into the game the repair hammer was never consumed. The second run through with a different character class and the repair hammer is consumed. There are not enough repair hammers in the game to keep repairing the various pieces of damaged gear for all party members. I hope this is fixed soon.

Yo! This is what the tongs are for. They serve the same purpose without expiring. At least in my playthrough. Seems to be random at this point, though. Hope they fix it.

Edit: Ok, the tongs seem to work. Right click tong [use], right click item you want to fix [repair].

Also, stuff keeps disappearing from my inventory at random, perhaps the disappearing hammer is part of that problem. I will make that a separate discussion.
