Report a translation problem
After the Advocate congratualates you on your murderous prowess you can turn around and kill him.
Do note that the Advocate collects most of his stray followers spread around the island to wander around the tree with him once you clear out the cultists though, so expect a fight with a bunch of adds.
Welp, at least the necro involved relevant information.
Help the advocate's quest first though, it wont ruin Jahan's quest... but im not sure if that may be considered as an evil playthrough

To avoid getting swarmed with adds, I teleported the Advocate a couple screens away before engaging in combat. I managed to down him just as like 3 more enemies were getting there, then cleaned up the dregs.
