All lizards have +1 to persuasion. You can:
a) Be a lizard.
b) Use Fane's mask to temporaty turn your character into a lizard.
c) Have a Red Prince with leveled persuasion in your party.

Sir, you have my respect and gratitude.
There is also a certain ring you can find
Yeah, this is one of the STUPIEST parts of the game.

What if I play solo and fail a fuggin dialog, eh? So I don't get the continuation of a quest and hence I cannot complete it. Fine! Thank you!

Is there maybe a way to PREDICT woulld an NPC require this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ persuasion? No.
Maybe we can somehow STOP or PAUSE a dialog to defer it? No.

So the only way to workaround this ♥♥♥♥ is to SAVE it before every fuggin NPC.

This is ludicrous, really. What do we players get from this... guessing? I don't see any good reason.

And honestly, this is so annoying, that I think to stop playing it now.

persuasion is important in act 2

you can get by without it otherwise most of the time. If you come to a situation you need it, just save before you dialog, reload, go to ship, respec, go back and complete it

Dude its an rpg, wtf do you think?
Persuasion is pretty stupid in this game, it is all or nothing. With other skills you actually have a chance to succeed with a low level, albeit with low chance (makes sense). With persuasion? You must have it maxed out for the point of the story you are at or you will fail the check. Like others have said, use gear, change into lizard, drink or try to raise the persuasion check's codependent stats and skills, if you have at least 1 rank. If sacrificing a talent point to give a furher skill boost is no big deal for you, go for it.

Persuasion is mostly all or nothing, there are few "less than max needed" scenarios, and they aren't important.

Persuasion can open up multiple new merchants for you, and it's practically necessary in Arx there are just so many perswiz checks.

I often end up speccing someone for perswiz for certain things, because i've played many times so I know where/when/why its necessary.

If you don't have the game memorized, there's only two options: fully spec for persuasion, or don't at all. There's no point in half-arsing persuasion.

There are necklaces, a ring, and I believe a nobility hat, and lizards. So there are ways to get 6+. I think 6 is the max ever needed, and most are 5 needed, along with a high stat dialouge choice.

Thievery has a minimum requirement that increases as level increases. Loremaster does too. Persuasion isn’t the only civil skill to have a level requirement that increases over time. It’s just the only one that has modifiers to that level based on the response you pick. However, this can work both for or against you as there are lowering modifiers as well as increase ones. Being a lizard should mean you’re always above the average requirement so the only ones you’ll fail are crime checks early game (as those don’t scale on level) and checks marked as impossible.

All civil skills should be invested exclusively.

This doesn't technically answer your question but you could always respec and get more persuasion. Not sure if this will work, but since lizards have a +1 to persuasion stat, you could try using the shapeshifting mask to see if it gives you the +1 to persuasion.

You the real MVP, the mask did the trick to get me that much desired +1

They best way to roleplay in this game is to start in Tactician Mode. Be the Red Prince or a Lizard and start with the Pet Pal Trait as it's crucial for many roleplay solutions to quests. Just make sure to add at least one point to persuasion every level until it reaches 10.

It can never reach 10

No the best way to roleplay is to choose the path you yourself want to go and not build your story on stats

Dont beat yourself over persuation tho. All it does is reducing exp gain.
I cant think of a single path where persuation helps us gain something.

And if you're using persuation to avoid fighting out of pure fear, you're in for a world of pain later on ... Fights wont get easier yo know

as an example while still on the starting ship you can get extra exp by persuading the 2 guards cowering behind a locked door and then killing them once they’re peaceful. Situations like these are all over the place. (Ofc chances are you don’t want to reach lvl 2 until you collect companions but it’s just an example)
