Useful spells for their utility/buff/debuff regardless of damage?
My friend and I are co-oping with Lone Wolf and already I have points in pyro, hydro, geo, and summoning. I'm considering taking summoning just up to 10 total before focusing on the other elements for their damage.

I figure with Lone Wolf I can spare one point in necro, polymoprh, and aero just for their utility if I am going to rely on my summons and other elements for their damage. Teleport, chicken claw, and chameleon cloak are a few I can think of that might offer good utility even if the damage might be minimal.

Are there any spells in particular in necro, polymoprh, and aero that might offer good utility even if I don't care for the damage?

Comments and suggestions are appreciated,

Thank you

Mosquito Swarm for Necro can be used as another way to heal yourself. Pretty sure it's only a level 1 spell.

If you want to take summoning to level 10, might as well take Necro to 3 so you can learn Bone Widow. It's a summon and its stats will depend on your level / summoning skill, not on Necromancy. Raise Bloated Corpse can also help early, as it's a decent source of AoE damage for that AP.
Spread Your Wings is an amazing spell in Polymorph, allowing you to fly over harmful ground effects and provides an extra skill when used that is like phoenix dive / tactical retreat etc, except the cooldown is 1 turn while Wings are active. Polymorph will later have useful spells that let you, for example, equalize the health of everyone in the area of effect, or switch around your health % with the enemy's. One of Poly source skills refreshes all your cooldowns, another lets you use unlimited source for 2-3 turns I think
Aero has uncanny evasion (100% evasion for 2 turns) and favourable wind (everyone around caster has increased movement speed)

In Necro, Poly and Aero? Italics are ones that can be good but are more "nice to have" than "have to have" IMO.

Utility:
Teleport, Nether Swap, Spread Your Wings, Raining Blood - with Blood Sucker or as a medium for electricity

Buff:
Evasion, Bone Cage, Heart of Steel, Skin Graft, Favourable Wind, Breathing Bubble, Living on the Edge, Spider Legs

Debuff:
Tentacle (which does amazing damage with a STR + Warfare build), Medusa Head, Blinding Aura, Vacuum Touch/Aura, Silencing Stare, Spider Legs

mosquito swarm like a lot of necro skills has a physical armour save, not magic armour, so i wouldnt bother on a character almost exclusivly dealing magic damage

as you are going summoning you could get necro to 2 and get the bone widow which is better than the incarnate (though pure phisical damage so possibly less synergy with you). necro2 would also give you access to 3 useful buffs, bone cage, death wish, and living on the edge

Thank you for the responses. Seems I might need to pour more points into Memory to carry all these spells but at least I'll have something to do in every turn.

Based on the tooltip of various polymoprh skills, it seems quite a bit of them do not scale with anything and simply provide an utility/buff/debuff. Does Heart of Steel improve with any stats, your level, or is it a fixed armour regen?

As far as i was concerned, bone window is stronger the higher strenght you have.. maybe it scales different from users. Currently have it on redprince and ifan.. they do tons of damage and description says it depends on strenght from the caster

I wouldn't *swear* to it without further testing, but that one seems to scale off of level and Poly investment. Typically, if it seems like a skill/spell should scale but doesn't mention an attribute, it's some combo of level and school investment, in my experience.
