Swornbreaker doesn't clear god king disobedience curse (Spoilers) is it a bug?
If you decide to ally yourself with the God King and refuse to use the doomsday device you're permenantly stuck with curse the rest of the game even after using swornbreaker. I tried it at every point, even right before the final boss. It isn't gamebreaking but it's super fking annoying, like "oh hey I made a mistake, fk" and then lose tons of resists/dodge/accuracy permenantly even after using the item supposed to free you of all bonds.

When you get into the academy a void-woken gives you a choice to join his faction.

You also need to pass a persuasion, so be careful of who you talk to him with.

If you cast curse on yourself, the curse comes off with newly applied curse.

Here's what worked for me:
1) Make big mistake and screw over the God King.
2) Get Perma Cursed.
3) Give your 1st Swornbreaker to Wendingo and realize you're an idiot.
4) Frantically search for the second sworn breaker.
5) Curse self (Make sure to remove magic armor first)
6) Use Swornbreaker on yourself AFTER curse falls off, but BEFORE God King curse comes back.

Good luck.

It's not so much that it's surprising that you have to do something evil, it's that it's extremely difficuly to not only fight the end fight but to also have to fight your party members as well.

You have been warned at least 2 or 3 times to kill your party members before that point. The game is consequent in punishing you for not roleplaying. Why would your party members help you end the world? Also, you can make the end fight significantly easier if you help Wendigo and get the Charm Voidwoken spell to charm the kraken (and the black ring dudes at the same time). In my Fane playthrough I still did it against a lone wolf Beast and everyone else and came out on top (it was tough though, had to actually use items!).

Has anyone been able to get it permanently removed? I was also wondering if when you do use the Swornbreaker, if curse turns back into bless? Because I want to keep curse. I also hear you gain some stat points when you swear loyalty to the God King. Do you lose those when you use the Swornbreaker? I'm almost to the Nameless Isle on this playthrough and I mainly just want curse. I might have to resort to just making a ton of curse scrolls if I can't break the oath properly and keep curse.

You do lose curse and gain bless, which is too bad. I've never had an issue with it not being removed permanently however I also used it right before the final boss, so I didn't give it much time to come back.

Ahh thanks Brids, that's a deal beaker for me then. I'm just going to have to make curse scrolls. Trouble is, the recipe says to use any void-tainted fish, but it in fact only accept void-tainted yellow ridgebacks. Which is unfortunate, because that significantly limits how many I can make. Guess I'll have to get the curse skill on another playthrough, probably lone wolf. Don't want to risk my team turning on me.
EDIT: I'm downloading a new patch update at this very second, so hopefully the recipe is fixed. "Fixed several crafting recipes that incorrectly required very specific items or gave incorrect results"
EDIT2: Still doesn't work. I tried void-tainted crimson beam, umber monkfish, plaice, and mackerel. Maybe it would work on a fresh save? But I doubt it. I would expect that if it was a quest problem a fresh save would help, but this isn't the case. It's a simple recipe not accepting correct ingredients.
