Inkpot & Quill
I’ve combined an Inkpot with a Quill (also tried Inkpot with a Feather).
Neither is giving me Inkpot & Quill – just says you have created nothing.
Also, combining Feather with knife isn’t giving me quills.
Is this a bug? Or a level thing? I can’t see Crafting Level indicated anywhere.

Should work, but don't bother, doesn't do anything like the previous game. It's junk

I believe your character by picking it states loudly:
"junk".

Not used to make scrolls etc then? For making skill books.

It's in recipe lists for DOS2 so I figured was needed for making things for making skillbooks.

It's useless. For skillbooks combine scrolls with blank books.

Much appreciated.

The Crafting Guides are very misleading.

The crafting system is exceedingly basic

Yeah, looks like the guides just copied and pasted from DOS1 assuming things would be the same.

No literally not used for anything, no magic ink and quill anymore either, just sell them, or don't bother picking them up. Same with needle and thread. Mortar and pestle still useful
