best origin char to play as
in my limited experience (merely 100h so far) i would say that lohse is the best origin character to play as, because this way her demonic takeover is flashed out the best.
meanwhile others like fane are best taken as companions, because this way their character is flashed out better

Beast is clearly the best to take because you can always see the funny dwarf walk.

the main char advancement is a rly small part of the game honestly...think i spent maby a total 2h or smth on main char story..the bigest part for me to choose woud be looks/there way to talk to ppl..

fane, if your into the lore. toss up between lohse and ifan for character development.

I'm really enjoying Lohse's whole thing. From what I understand, there's a great "reward" for finishing her story as well which I'm excited about.

pretty much. lohse pulls ahead slightly for me, but i could see someone prefering ifan.

u can get a uniqe skill book (not sure if u get it if u got her as a companion but becuse most companion storys seems fleshed out even if they are companion i dont see why not) that is pritty bad..i can see some specs geting use from it (it requers source) but woud prob not spec it 99% of the time..if theres something else i havent found it yet

You miss out on the vast majority of the character's dialog and voice acting by playing as them. Ideally, you play the game twice with two custom characters to experience all the six origin characters have to offer. For the situations where you can solve a quest differently with a specific character, you simply swap to that member and talk to the NPC involved.

I didn't know about the skillbook. I was under the impression that there's a fully voiced song though.

The wolf is awful. A major drawback to picking ifan xd.

oh nice =D btw theres 2 summon spells u also can only get by doing the "right" choices..none of them are anything useful but fun tho =) [/spiler] one condor and a cat [/spoiler] cant recall any other special skills u can learn btw the skill you gain from loshe gives 6 int and + 1858 magic armor at lev 20 compare to armor of frost give 1486 also gives u 2 abilitys that seems to scale with int that may be decent...

Red Pricne, so you dont have to hear him so much. :)

As Tawm said, I'd pick your favirorites to be your companions - as that way you get to hear them, and interact with them.

Lohse has an interesting story, but I never took to her as a companion - so she made a good choice to play as, for me. I liked Beast, but being him felt like I lost on him... same with Fane. And Ifan is too much of a bro to play as, I feel.
