Question regarding Corrupted Ancestor Tree

So I got the tree's name and I spoke to it and it gave me the name I needed. But now it just keeps asking me to help free it.
How exactly do I go about freeing it? I thought saying it's name was what I needed to do but it keeps asking me to help it more without telling me how.

I'm sure I'm missing something here, so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

If it's the one on Bloodmoon Isle you have to kill the doctor that it talks about to finish the quest.
