Ok, this is defeating me. (SOLVED)

HOW the heck do you get into the room underneath Mordus' house that has Earnan and Aileen in it? I can't find any switches, I tried using spells on the wall thinking it was an illusion, I even discovered the crypt that you unlock by lockpicking the skull, but that had no other exits, so it doesn't lead there.

There's a lever on a column (IIRC) right near the bottom of the stairs, side facing the ladder. I'm not sure you even need Wits to spot it, though it's technically hidden.

I don't see any levers.

yeah it should be. Try clicking on all the lanterns etc. I cant remember exactly where it is as I didnt have wits that high iirc. Im sure it was on the pillar to the right of skull though.

I don't think that is the issue, I just jumped to 26 wits and I still don't see it.

Ok, I just found it, it is near the wooden platform stairs, hidden (not wits hidden) just really hard to see.

The lever is at 501,727, left hand side column as soon as you enter the place.

This lever is obnoxious to see, especially since it doesn't show up with [ALT]. Finally found it after reading this discussion, screenshot linked.
