Is bartering worth it?
I've noticed that persuasion also helps prices as it has an impact on how vendors view you.
Is the benefit of persuasion as good as bartering?

Persuasion gives a lower % discount then bartering.

For my charcter with Persuasion 4 which is 20 attitude is get 4% discount

Where as my bartering 6 Character has a 24% discount.

you can also do what i do and give them gold on your bartering character to get 100% attitude then just steal it back on your thief.

Roleplaying aside, if the goal is to make money, I don't think anything comes close to thievery, right?

Sad but true. True but sad.
Worse, you can barter stolen items back to people for profit.

Sell something, steal back. Sell again. Put Thievery equipment on another character. REPEAT.

Old Lucky Charm did or at the very least was close( assuming you don't pickpocket one of the vendors more than once).

Basically just Donate things that you don't need to vendor, make them like you 100 your goods all Give you 20 -25% discount. And you don't need to donate much to get them like you.
I rather put points on persuasion, sneaking, thievery and lucky charm. Because those are the real money maker.

with bartering at 5 and attitude at 100 u get a 40% discount on buys and 40% more money for sold items.
You get +4% for every point in bartering. You can also get more than 5 bartering through items.
So 1 character with bartering maxed is really important. Especially for later in the game where you get like 90% of your gear from traders.

Before you steal, go back to Lady Vegence use mirror to give all points to your thievery, after stole everything then only go back to mirror and put points to whatever you want,
Since you just only can steal 1 time only.

Now that's just torturing yourself lol No one needs money that bad. They dont sell good enough gears to do that.

That's for 4 companion, currently i just using 2 companion with lone wolf, so i try to ditch bartering and go for thievery.
Ah maybe just use gear to increase bartering, keep all those gears with bartering and only wear them when you need to buy or sell stuff.

With lone wolf you only have 2 characters to equip so i would ditch bartering as you will only need half the money.
Plus loremaster, persuasion and thievery have to be always up to game progress since you will miss out a lot otherwise

was running 2LW with only one char with thieving, ended up with ~1500000 gold at the end of game, i dunno

I think i try to ditch loremaster as well, since... well, teleport is way so easy, sigh, 2 companion really need to decide which is most important,
Persuasion, lucky charm, thievery, sneaking is enough i guess. Because all of these are one time things, you cant redo.

i dunno why would you need lore, vendors appraise cheap and i find elven racial +1lore enough to look at enemy stats
also why sneaking? useless imo
