meh i just went on to kill him, looted the quest item i would otherwise have a pain in obtaining followed by killing his puppets... and omg they drop good stuff... they drop source orbs that can be consumed like food but give source and often 1-2 at a time + other valueable stuff & xp.

The best way to fight this guy is to use Source abilities that do mutple attacks or try to outright punch him out with high damage spells. His permanent Evasion doesn't seem to work against Daggers Drawn (5 attacks in a row, 5 Backstabs if it is someone like Sebille) or Onslaught for fighters. In either case, by level 18 two of those attacks should take him out on one round.

FYI guys for any evading douchebags - use Glitter Dust skill from Huntsman - removes evading for several turns :)

The reactive armor combo with shackles of pain is also quite strong against him since it can't be dodged.

Open the door to his shop and don't interact with him. I believe he's just standing there talking to one of his creations. Without hitting him, shoot a poison arrow and create a pool of poison at his feet. He will be dead in no time. If you ever in a situation where you'd like to pass through a doorway without attracting attention, just burn the door down first and head out. That's how you can get past the toy shop's double doors if Sanders is still alive but you don't want to fight him. That's also the way to make it to the money lender's backyard and into the basement undetected without a fight.
