Cat and Dog Argument in Ryker's House

Just curious if anyone was able to pass the int check on this. I have 55+ int and am failing the int check. Wasnt sure what happens if you pass it. Or any of the other checks for that matter.

I passed the check with 42 INT & 5 Persuasion. 9650 xp. If you support the dog, he will tell you about the hidden entrance to the basement. If you go with the cat then she will tell you about a diamond under the bath tub in the same room. That was about it.
