Question about killing certain NPCs in Fort Joy.
In my playthrough I am trying to maximize experience gain, so I'm basically killing everyone after they have outlived their usefulness. My question is if I kill an NPC (in this case, a magister named Delorus who returns in a later act if you saved him in Fort Joy) as he is running away from me after updating my journal with our conversation, does it affect a future quest he is involved in? The journal does *not* update to say the NPC in question is dead, in fact it says he's alive and well and I get 500xp for killing him too. In a nutshell: as long as the quest log says he's alive, will he be flagged as bing "saved" and return later for his quest?

From what I've heard, later in the game he gives you a bow after completing a quest. I'm assuming that if he dies, it's permanent.
