How to keep Fane alive?
So I love Fane, I love Fane characters. But oh my god if it isn't hard to keep him alive.

So vitality skills hurts him.
Health pots hurts him.
Poison heals him.

Easy concept.
But the same grade pots that is good enough to heal the other members of my party, barely touches his HP as poison flasks. I even gave him the talent where everything he consumes has doublebonus and I'm sitting there with potion flasks I bought for 600gold healing only half his HP. (that's a lot of gold!)

We just got to level 14, we're somewhere in act 2.

Once he gets close to dying, I play dead and hope to kill (or teleport away) the enemies from him. But generally, if someone needs to be revived, it's him.

Put a point or two in Geomancer on other party members and get some poison skills, you can shoot him with them in combat. Poison dart, poison wand/staff basic attacks, etc., all heal him.

Also shovel poisin potions, ooze barrel+empty bottle = infinite fane healing

I found putting points in necromancy to be helpful on my Fane. Sitting at Necro 12 Warfare 13 he deals lots of damage and heals for over 100% of his damage done directly to health (double that if you use mosquito swarm directly on health)

Didn't you get the item that poisons everything from the hound? Just use that to poison food and stuff.

On our 4 player game, I'm playing as undead. I actually find it easier to stay alive. Just spec for Geomancer and some Necro. You should have one Geo and one Hydro in your party anyways for the armor restores, and having two Geos doesn't hurt (especially if you have a lizard/Pyro).

Probably the best way to keep undead characters alive, outside of just building for massive tankiness (which fane isn't primed for) is to get an invisibilty spell. It works especially well for Fane--walk in and use your skills, use Time Warp to get a second turn, make sure you're in a safe area, go invisible.

I wouldn't bother much with poison potions. Just either lay down poison fields or keep him away from trouble.

I happen to have him as a Geomancer. Thus I just cast poison in his own ground to heal
