KRUG the Troll - How to actually kill him?

I am talking about the third troll in the game, the one guarding the entrance to the sallow man's cave.

What would have been the intended way to remove his trollblood?

Fire didn't work, poison didn't work, ice, stone and electricity didn't work either.

I guess fire worked for me though since I could teleport him somewhere nice and hot. What an undignified death. :)

uhm.. at this point of game u should be able to outdamage troll blood O_o

I probably could have done that too, tried to remove his troll blood first though out of habit.

Once that didn't work it dawned on me that I could try to teleport him and it worked so the encounter ended during the second/third turn. :)

I managed to negate troll blood with either acid or suffocate (unsure of which one since they both got applied).

You also can use Forced Life Exchange, if you have polymorphs in your party. Just take off the armor off the polymorph before the fight. When the fight starts, quickly lower the HP of the polymorph, then use Forced Life Exchange on troll. Kill him with one final blow. That's it)

He's a troll so use fire, like in any other fantasy setting. Trolls are weak to fire, it's part of their characteristics....
Also have loremaster character and inspect your opponents before you attack them, it really helps a lot.

There are different trolls with different stats.

T is for troll says you should make smoke to 'choke' his lungs. But I don't think that actually works.

Will try suffocation spells on my honor playthrough.

It’s the suffocation spell. Earlier in the game, you find a book item that talks about two types of trolls, one that is weak to fire, and one that is weak to air that is difficult to breathe… That sounds like the suffocate future here

He critted himself on my 130% reflect and died in one blow!

I used suffocation and it didn't work. Ended up throwing him into the lava but I'm still wondering if there was an actual way to counter the regen

I must be severly underleveled then since I bearly got his hp down to half. Though it could have been the difficulty
