Selecting the Right Origin for my Main Character

I want to complete two roleplay runs in DOS2:
- First as a witty, heroic character
- Second as a selfish, villianous character

I want to complete each playthrough using one of the Origins.
- Fane will be my character for the evil playthrough and I can't wait!


However, I am struggling to find a fit for a good playthrough. This is where I would appreciate help from my fellow players.


Sebille: (Heroic - Maybe?)
- Really like everything about elves, from their traits to their animations
- I tried roleplaying her as a noble-hearted character, but her occasional voice-overs expose her blood-thirsty nature (e.g. she sees a drowned corpse on the beach and automatically remarks that she would have chosen a far more painful death for him)
- Those remarks break the immersion for me.

Lohse: (Heroic)
- Perfect personaltiy: witty, kind, and generally lawful
- The little I know of her storyline so far greatly appeals to me (the concept of noble character fighting to save her soul would be very interesting to explore)
- The human traits are less interesting, but that's secondary to the roleplaying aspect
- I have read a couple of comments so far that all insist that Lohse is a much better Companion than a Main Character (apparently there are aspects of her story which are more enjoyable when you are not playing her?). If true, then that would be a big let-down

Ifan: (Heroic - Possible Anti-Hero)
- Ifan's personality highlights traits that I might expect in an anti-hero
- Dark, brooding, slightly cynical, but still guided by a moral compass
- I think of the Witcher's Geralt as an example - gruff and violent, but generally knows right from wrong
- Not too sure if that assessment would breakdown deeper into the story

Beast & Red Prince are not in the running. I like both of them, but have firmly decided on having them as Companions rather than Mains.


I've already mentioned that Fane will be reserved for my evil playthrough. Either as a wizard or rogue, depending on what class I eventually pick for my Good playthrough.


Can anyone share their thoughts on this matter? Which Origin would you recommend as a Main for a Heroic-ish run?

I'd actually consider fane a good guy. A good guy greg in fact

Humm. I mean we can't choose for you but I'd go with Lohse.

She has to overcome her own demons to save the world!

I use Lohse as my main right now, and her story is interesting. Cause she can lose the fight as you put it, or at least get corrupted by her passenger quite a bit. But in the end all decision are made by the player independently of Lohse state. I think she is a good candidate for a good turned evil character if you are after role play aspects.
